CRHS 2026: Cardinal pride on display as 556 graduate in U.S. Bank Stadium ceremony
The Coon Rapids High School Class of 2026 celebrated in style as 556 graduates received diplomas in a commencement ceremony held at U.S. Bank Stadium on Sunday, May 31.
The ceremony offered a connection to the proud history of Coon Rapids High School with a special address from 1966 graduate Birdie Rotramel in recognition of the 60th graduating class of Cardinals.

The big event: The commencement ceremony featured opportunities for student leadership.
- Graduating seniors Kenechi Kalu and Solange Barkon were featured speakers and Favour Oiku provided the welcome and student reflection.
- CRHS Bands directed by Ryan Palmer and Senior Choir directed by Joshua Kainz provided musical selections.
Great Day: The school's unifying slogan - It’s a great day to be a Cardinal - proved a true statement for graduates along with family and supporters in attendance.
- Coon Rapids led the way as the first Anoka-Hennepin school to host a graduation ceremony at U.S. Bank Stadium.
- School Board members Dr. Michelle Langenfeld and Jeff Simon joined Superintendent Cory McIntyre and CRHS Principal John Pena on stage.
